BSB: Eagles Take Two from NC State Club Team

The weekend series versus Surry Community College was cancelled due to rain, but Wake Tech and NC State Club Baseball were able to play two on Friday.

Game 1

Both teams were neck and neck through four and a half innings of play as the score was tied at 5!  The bottom of the fifth inning proved to be enough to push the Eagles to victory as Wake Tech added five additional runs and one in the sixth to defeat NC State Club Baseball by a final of 11-5.

Austin Holland came in for relief to pick up the win, but it was a team effort for Eagles pitching.

Trevor Creech was 1-4, but tallied 3 RBI's and scored twice.  Martin Cervinka went 2-3 and scored twice for Wake Tech.  Brandon Avella was 1-2 with 2 RBI's in game 1.

Game 2

Wake Tech pitching allows two hits, Eagles roll in the nightcap.

Jonathan Gardner earned the win, but it was another combined effort for Wake Tech pitching- holding NC State Club Baseball to only two hits in game 2.

Martin Muzik went 1-2 and collected his third homerun of the season while adding two RBI's.  Kevin Catrine had a stellar showing, going 3-5 with four RBI's.
