Tryouts, workouts, summer practice, scrimmage games- they're a thing of the past. The regular season begins, at home, tonight as Wake Tech men's basketball hosts Johnston Community College at 7:00pm.
It's year two of coach Adam Wainwright's tenure as head coach and the Eagles are ready to make some noise not only in conference, but in the region.
Currently, two teams are ranked in NJCAA DII Top 20 from the conference- Richard Bland is ranked #2 and Louisburg starts the season at #4. Those two are not the only ones from the region highly ranked. Sandhills begins the season ranked #9 in the NJCAA DIII Top 10.
Students, faculty, staff, and the public are invited to tonight's season opener. Wake Tech men's and womone's basketball play their home games at the Southern Wake Campus, Building N (gym). Students, faculty, and staff enter FREE with a valid Wake Tech ID. General public can attend for $5.00.
