It was the same story through the first 20 minutes of the contest.  The Eagles were playing hard, but unable to keep pace falling behind by 9-points at the half.

Something clicked during the break as Wake Tech came out of the locker room and scored 45 points in the second half, while only allowing 30 points for Richard Bland.  The Eagles come away with a statement win over the nationally ranked Statesmen by a final score of 76-73.

For Wake Tech,  Eddie Volkerts led the way with 27 points, Koraan Clemonts added 19 points, Nick Johnson contributed 11 points, and Christian Anumihe hit double figures with 10 points.

The Eagles are now 8-10 overall for the season and 6-4 in conference.  The team certainly enjoys playing at home.  Their record at the Southern Wake Campus is 5-1 for the season.  It's a perfect time for a three game home stand for the Eagles as they welcome Catawba Valley, Bryant & Stratton, and Louisburg over a six day span before the end of January.
