Two of the leading scorers in NJCAA, DII, Region X came to life for the Eagles as Wake Tech needed five extra minutes to defeat the Hurricanes, 96-93.
Eddie Volkerts led Wake Tech with 27 points and Koraan Clemonts added 21 points, but the Eagles needed additional support from Nick Johnson who had 18 points, Christian Anumihe added 13 points, and Carnell Watkins chipped in 12 points.
For Wake Tech, it was the second win over a nationally ranked opponent in a nine day span. The Eagles defeated Richard Bland on January 20th by a final score of 76-73.
The victory gives the Eagles confidence as they head towards the post season.
