Wake Tech advanced to the NJCAA, DII National Tournament after a blistering run through the Region X, District XIV Tournament.

Coach Adam Wainwright knew his team was built for a deep run but admits the level of competition from this point forward is on another level.

"We're one of sixteen teams left playing," said Wainwright, "when you get to the National Tournament, you're playing top-level teams. We're happy to be here and believe we belong."

When asked about his upcoming opponent, Wainwright admitted there's a lot of work to do to get ready in time.

"There's a quality team from New York heading to Danville," Wainwright continued, "we're going to run through drills just like we normally do, but we'll have a longer bus ride before we play them."

Wake Tech will play Niagara County Community College in the fifth game of the opening round of the NJCAA, DII National Tournament on Tuesday, March 19 at 7:30 pm.
