RALEIGH, NC — A ferocious comeback led by sophomores Ceejay Jordan and Eddie Volkerts propelled the Eagles to their third straight victory on Wednesday night, defeating Richard Bland 73-71 to improve to 11-9 on the season and 4-2 in conference play.
It was a back-and-forth defensive affair with multiple lead changes in the early stages of the game. Richard Bland made it 14-13 with 10:20 to play in the first half, and Wake Tech didn't retake the lead until Ceejay Jordan's game-winning shot with less than two seconds left. Richard Bland inbounded the ball for one final shot, but the ball caromed off the shot clock above the basket as time expired.
