Jordan scores 37, Men's Basketball wins fourth straight on the road

GASTONIA, NC – It was a busy weekend for Wake Tech Men's Basketball with road trips to Spartanburg Methodist and Gaston played in consecutive days. The Eagles defeated Spartanburg Methodist 94-93 on Saturday and followed that up with an 85-77 victory on Sunday against Gaston. It almost perfectly mirrored the score from earlier this month, when Wake Tech hosted Gaston and lost 85-79.

Wake Tech has now won four consecutive games, all of them coming on the road. The Eagles are now tied with Cape Fear for third place in the Region 10 Division I standings.

Sophomore forward Ceejay Jordan set a new career-high with 37 points, easily topping his previous high of 28. Jordan shot 12-for-25 from the field and an impressive 9-for-13 from the free throw line. He added nine rebounds, three assists, and three steals.

Freshman guards Dylan Setzer and Joshua Stevenson were the other major contributors for the Eagles. Setzer finished with 13 points, just one point shy of his career high. He shot 3-for-5 from beyond the arc. Stevenson nearly recorded a double-double, scoring 15 points and tallying eight rebounds.

The Eagles are still on the road this weekend, heading to Walterboro to take on USC Salkehatchie on Saturday. The first game between these two teams was a tight one, with Wake Tech narrowly edging the Eagles 65-63 at the South Campus Gym on December 3rd.
