Wake Tech men's golf team finished third, while Min Kim and Leo Tsiang finished third and fourth individually, at the season-opening SCC Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday at Talamore Golf Resort in Southern Pines.
Spartanburg Methodist (309-309-618) claimed their first team win of the season by five strokes over Sandhills (312-311-623). The Eagles (312-312-624) finished one shot back of the Flyers and took home third place in the 36-hole event that included six full teams along with golfers from two other schools competing as individuals. Kim (75-75-150) and Tsiang (77-74-151) finished in the individual player top five.
