Men's Soccer Pulls Away from Patrick Henry

Men's Soccer Pulls Away from Patrick Henry

Wake Tech has spent the first month of the 2017 season on the road.  While the miles add up, the minutes played have started to pay dividends.  The Eagles turned heads last night with a 6-0 victory over Patrick Henry Community College.  Although the final score was impressive, it was the way the team governed play that's got many on campus excited for their first match at Ting Park on September 19.

The Eagles tallied 22 shots, 10 of those were on frame, and 6 found the back of the net.  In another display of offensive prowess, the team won a total of 12 corner kicks.  That translates into possession on the offensive side of the field.

Sergio Romero had another standout performance, scoring two, bringing his season goal total to four.  Lucas Marchetti, Angel Nicolas, Momoyan Kamara, and Eder Montalvo also scored to reach the final score total of 6.

The Eagles will open play at Ting Park on Tuesday, September 19 against Spartanburg Methodist at 2:30pm.
