Wake Tech men's soccer has a lot to reflect on at the midpoint of the season. Under new head coach Ted Awana, the Eagles are sharp. They are balanced on defense and use the midfield effectively to transition into, at times, a potent offense. Watching them play is truly exciting and you get a sense they are on their way up in the region.
Their record doesn't reflect the determination you see on the field of play. That's a result of more than one unlucky situation that determined the outcome of several matches. There's plenty of time left for this team to find the right luck and make noise as we head towards the end of season tournament.
As of October 3, the Eagles are fourth in conference with a 4-4 mark. Overall they are 4-4 and have a 1 game win streak.
