Six Men's Soccer players receive All-Region honors

RALEIGH, NC – Six Wake Tech Men's Soccer players were named to All-Region 10 teams on Thursday, including Kaiden Richter who received first-team honors.

Kaiden Richter – Forward, First-Team

Richter scored 11 goals in his freshman season for Wake Tech, landing him first-team honors. He had three multi-goal games, the first of which came in a 4-1 win against Louisburg on September 9. Richter appeared in all 11 regular season matches and found the back of the net in nine of them.

Franklin Morales – Defender, Second-Team

Morales was named to the second-team after being a mainstay in the Eagles' lineup, starting in all 12 regular season matches. The Raleigh native saw his role increase this year after only making two starts during his freshman season.

The sophomore recorded four assists during the regular season.

Danny Metcalf – Midfielder, Second-Team

Metcalf, a freshman from Swansboro, NC, made 11 appearances and 10 starts throughout his freshman campaign, scoring a goal and recording an assist.

Julian Rush – Defender, Third-Team

Rush is a second-year starter from Charlotte, NC, and has been a fixture in the Wake Tech back line. He's made 19 appearances for the Eagles, all of them starts.

He started in the season opener against Spartanburg Methodist in which the team kept a clean sheet, winning 5-0.

Joshua Davila – Midfielder, Third-Team

Davila is a sophomore from Cary, NC and made 10 appearances and eight starts this season for Wake Tech. He scored one goal and recorded an assist. He finished his Wake Tech career with 16 appearances.

Gerardo Escobar-Vasquez – Midfielder, Third-Team

Escobar-Vasquez was a mainstay in the Eagles' midfield throughout his freshman season, starting in all 12 regular season games.

The All-Region teams are selected by the Region 10 DII men's soccer coaches.
