Wake Tech welcomes Albert “Pete” Rose as Softball Coach

Wake Technical Community College Athletic Director Brian Anweiler announced that Albert “Pete” Rose as the head softball coach for the Eagles.

Rose brings over two decades of coaching experience from Ohio and North Carolina. He is the owner of Spirts Fastpitch Organization and has coached at Leesville Road High School since 2014. In addition, he has coached several sports including hockey and baseball.

He has a bachelor’s degree from Walsh (Ohio) University, a master’s from Colorado Technical University, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. from CTU in Global Business Management.

“I would like to thank Wake Tech for their faith in me to lead the Eagle’s softball program,” said Rose.  “I am extremely excited about the opportunity to the join the athletic staff at Wake Tech.  I am most excited about being able to continue to build this program and the successful development of our players as leaders on and off the field dedicated to excellence and success!”

When not coaching, he is a Thermal Dynamic Engineer in the pulp and paper industry.

“Pete has been fortunate to excel in academics, athletics and business as a leader, coach and mentor,” said Anweiler. “I look forward to seeing our softball program grow and thrive under his leadership.”
