RALEIGH, NC – Wake Technical Community College Head Softball Coach Pete Rose announce the team captains for the 2022 campaign.

Zaniaya Williams, a freshman from Knightdale, NC, Lexi Jones, a freshman from Camden, NC, Cassie Browne, a freshman from Hope Mills, NC, and Nicole Mitchell, a sophomore Wake Forest, NC, were each named as captains for this season. 

Wake Tech is playing their first intercollegiate season since 2018. The captains were selected on by the coaches this season.

"These four young ladies have set an amazing example on the field and in the classroom with their hard work and dedication, and they have demonstrated the expectations of what it means to be a student-athlete here at Wake Tech," said head coach Pete Rose.  "They are great examples of young leaders and influencers in our community." 

The Eagles open up their 2022 campaign on Wednesday, March 2, against William Peace University JV.  The first pitch of the Wednesday doubleheader is at 1pm at Spring Forest Park in Raleigh.
