Women's Basketball Releases 2017-2018 Schedule

Home games against Louisburg College, Cape Fear Community College, and Guilford Technical Community College highlight the 2017-2018 schedule for the Wake Tech women's basketball team.  Head coach Barry Street is highly optimistic about the season, "I'm very excited about our schedule.  We have an outstanding class coming in that's full of competitors."

The Eagles will play 13 home games total, including a match-up with Combine Academy to officially kick off the season on Saturday, November 2.  November and December offers a long stretch of road games when Wake Tech travels to Johnston Community College (Nov. 8), Lenoir Community College (Nov. 15), Central Carolina Community College (Nov. 18), Guilford Technical Community College (Nov. 21), Louisburg College (Dec. 4), and Patrick Henry Community College (Dec. 9).

Being on the road leaves four home games before the new year.  The Eagles welcome Cape Fear Community College (Nov. 13), Johnston Community College (Nov. 29), a second visit by Combine Academy (Dec. 2), and Central Carolina Community College (Dec. 19).

"We have a good competitive schedule ahead that will challenge us throughout the season," said Coach Street, "we expect to contend for the regular season championship and the tournament championship."  The Eagles will have home court advantage when Wake Tech welcomes to Raleigh- Brunswick Community College (Jan. 20), Catawba Valley (Feb. 17), Spartanburg Methodist (Feb. 18), Patrick Henry (Feb. 21), Guilford Technical Community College (Feb. 26), and Louisburg College (Feb. 28).

The regular season wraps up with a home contest against Clinton College on Saturday, March 3.  Region X Tournament play begins Thursday, March 3 in Jamestown, NC.  Women's basketball plays their home games at the Main Campus Gym.  Students, faculty, and staff enter each game FREE with a valid Wake Tech ID.
