WBB: Wake Tech Holds Off Fayetteville Tech

With only two weeks remaining in the regular season, Wake Tech needs to collect all the conference wins they can for a favorable seed in the postseason tournament.

A big win came on Wednesday, February 14th as Wake Tech defeated Fayetteville Tech by a score of 65-54.

The Eagles were led by freshman standout Timia Grant.  Not only did she score 23 points in the win, but she hauled in 23 rebounds as well.  It's the second time this season Timia has collected 20 or more rebounds in a game.  It's also her tenth double-double of the year.

Khadijah Daniels continued her scoring onslaught.  By scoring 26 points against Fayetteville Tech, she now has 20 or more points in eight contests this season.  She's also scored in double figures in 13 consecutive games.

Wake Tech will play two home games this weekend.  The Eagles host Catawba Valley on Saturday, February 17th at 2:00pm, then turn around to face Spartanburg Methodist on Sunday, February 18th at 2:00pm.

All Wake Tech home games are FREE for students, faculty, and staff.  Just show your Wake Tech ID at entry.  General admission is $5 and children 12 and under are FREE.
