Women's Basketball wins fourth straight, tops Brunswick 62-57

RALEIGH, NC — Wake Tech Women's Basketball picked up their fourth straight win on Sunday afternoon, defeating Brunswick 62-57. The Eagles trailed by nine at the half after they struggled to score the ball in the first two quarters, but they regrouped in the second half, outscoring the Dolphins 44-30 after the break. 

Sophomore forward Aquarias Pettaway finished with 24 points, tying a career-high. Yasmonasia Boone chipped in 11 points and Journee Spencer added 9. 

Wake Tech held their opponent to under 60 points for the third time in four games. 

Next up, the Eagles host Cleveland Community College on Wednesday, January 17 at 5:00pm. The Yetis are 4-12 on the season and 4-10 in conference play. The game is the first of a doubleheader at the South Campus Gym on Wednesday. At 7:00pm, Wake Tech Men's Basketball plays Richard Bland. Admission is free to both games and they will both be streamed live on the Wake Tech Eagles YouTube Channel
