WSoc: New Logo Highlights Wake Tech, Raleigh, & the Triangle

Women's soccer unveils a new logo!

Wake Tech women's soccer has unveiled a new logo that combines the sport, college, and the city of Raleigh.

Coach Kristopher Hanks has infused a lot of confidence in the soccer program here at Wake Tech.  A large part of building a foundation for the future comes from something to rally around.  For the soccer community, it's by playing for your teammates, school, city, and county you live in.

"To me, this shield represents some of the things that make both Wake Tech and its home, Raleigh, NC, so special. It pays homage to Raleigh through the use of the skyline and the resemblance to an acorn which is a nod to the City of Oaks," Coach Hanks continues, "On a larger scale, the golden triangle at the bottom helps tie the team's identity into our larger community--The Triangle. The eagle silhouette in the background helps direct attention back to the team's Wake Tech identity and the use of a "shield" logo paired with the soccer ball at the bottom makes it immediately obvious to all that we are the face of soccer at Wake Tech. I believe that this piece is something to be proud of now and for years to come."

Look for the new logo on uniforms, posters, and other Wake Tech women's soccer gear.
