The Eagles traveled to Charlotte on September 30th and pulled out a gritty win against a challenging opponent, Johnson & Wales University. The Wildcats make their way to Raleigh tonight for what promises to be an outstanding display of volleyball.
To say these two teams are evenly matched is an insult to what happens during the sets they play. There's heart, soul, competition, but more importantly quality play. Both Wake Tech and Johnson & Wales bring out the best in each other.
Here's the match score from five days ago: 27-25, 16-25, 23-25, 34-32, 15-11. Aside from the second set which got away from the Eagles, each serve, volley, and block meant something greater to the match as a whole. Not to mention the 34-32 fourth set is a record for highest number of points scored in a set for Wake Tech.
Tonight will be an instant classic and a match to remember for both teams!
