Going into the week, Wake Tech volleyball knew they were going up against two solid teams- Pitt Community College and Johnson & Wales University.
The Eagles fell to the Bulldogs on the road Wednesday night by a score of 25-23, 15-25, 22-25, 21-25. Fast forward 24 hours and Wake Tech was competing against a Wildcat team which took them to five sets only five days earlier. Wake Tech dropped their home match to JWU in straight sets 20-25, 23-25, 25-13.
Giving up two consecutive games could be cause for concern, but to put it into perspective the Eagles were in the midst of a seven game winning streak. They'd also won 11 of their last 12, so this minor hiccup is more a course correction.
Wake Tech will look to get back on track when the Eagles travel to USC Salkehatchie to play two on Friday, October 6th.
