Coach Stephanie Sports announced the signing of Katherine Newton, who will be a 2018 graduate of Fike High School. She spent time as both an OH and RS, tallying 126 kills with a .302 hitting percentage, 37 digs, 27 blocks and 54 aces in her senior season (Maxpreps). She served as the team captain and received Best All Around while making All Conference (berecruited.com).
Katherine has played for Eastern Elite Volleyball Club and will play for Wilson Elite this spring.
Coach Sports added, "Katherine will bring size and consistency to our program. I think she will have an immediate impact. She is a great girl, works hard, and is a pleasure to be around. I'm looking forward to having her compete for us!"
