Tamayia Samuel signs with King University

Wake Tech head volleyball coach Brian Harris announced that Tamayia Samuel will continue her education and athletic career at King (Tenn.) University.

Samuel, from Birmingham, Ala., played two seasons for the Eagles (20-5) appearing in 47 matches.  The defensive specialist recorded 63 digs, 9 kills, and five service aces during her sophomore season with Wake Tech.

"Tamayia has a heart of gold and is a great teammate," said Harris. "She works hard to improve herself and have a positive impact on those around her. We can't wait to see what this next chapter in her educational and athletic career have in store for her."

King University is an NCAA D-II program located in Bristol, Tenn., competes in the highly competitive Conference Carolinas. King reached the finals of the Conference Carolinas' tournament.
