RALEIGH, NC - The Wake Technical Community College women's and men's basketball teams are both receiving recognition in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II national polls this week.
The women's basketball team enters the week at No. 16 in the NJCAA poll following their first setback of the season on Saturday to USC Salkehatchie. Wake Tech was 17-0 and ranked No. 13 in the country headed into Saturday's game. The Eagles (18-1) defeated Cape Fear Community College on Monday evening. Wake Tech is leading NJCAA Region 10 with an 11-1 record in conference games.
The men's basketball team (12-5) received votes in the latest NJCAA poll for the second time this season. The Eagles are currently in second place in conference action with a 9-3 conference record.
