The Eagles beat Guilford Tech CC 10-5 in seven innings behind Doug Taylor, who had two extra base hits. He doubled in the fourth inning and homered in the seventh inning.
Justin Huggins recorded the win for the Eagles. He allowed two runs over four innings. He struck out three, walked three and surrendered three hits.
The Eagles were sparked by Garrett Wise and Taylor, who teamed up for three hits and eight RBIs.
Wake Tech never trailed after scoring five runs in the fourth on a two-run double by Taylor and a three-run home run by Wise.
After pushing across three runs in the bottom of the seventh, Guilford Tech CC faced just a 10-5 deficit. A three-run home run by Orth gave Guilford Tech CC life. But, Austin Deal got Anderson to ground out to end the game.
