Eagles Lose 11-9 to Potomac State College

Twelve hits weren't enough for the Eagles as it lost a shootout, 11-9 in seven innings, to Potomac State College on Saturday at Florence-Darlington CC.

 ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.

Potomac State College jumped out to an early 6-0 lead in the top of the first. A double by Schertfeger, plating Palmer started the inning off. Potomac State College added more runs when Schertfeger scored on an RBI single by Roadcap, Roadcap scored on a two-run home run by Larocca, and Skidmore and Kimbrough scored on a two-run double by Jack Ricker.

Potomac State College pushed across two runs in both the second inning and the seventh. In the second, Potomac State College scored on an RBI double by Roadcap, scoring Schertfeger.

The Eagles scored six runs of their own in the third. The Eagles scored on a three-run double by Angel Santiago and a three-run home run by Garrett Wise.
Potomac State College didn't relinquish the lead after scoring two runs in the seventh inning when it scored on a fielder's choice.
