Walk-off Home Run Gives Eagles 8-6 Victory

Travis Owens's walk-off two-run blast off of Lopez boosted the Eagles to an 8-6 win over Patrick Henry CC at North Main Athletic Complex on Saturday.  Owens racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Eagles. He homered in the ninth inning.
 
Bronson Short was a workhorse on the bump for the Eagles. Short pitched seven innings and allowed three earned runs, three hits and two walks while striking out four.
 
Hampton Thomas got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. He allowed one run over two-thirds of an inning. Thomas struck out none, walked two and gave up one hit.
Neither team scored until the fourth when the Eagles got on the board. The Eagles scored on an RBI double by Angel Santiago and an error.

Patrick Henry brought home three runs in the eighth inning, and matched that run total in the ninth. In the eighth, Patrick Henry CC scored on an RBI single by McReynolds, scoring Bradshaw.

The Eagles survived Patrick Henry CC's surge and put up three runs of their own in the ninth. The Eagles scored on and a two-run home run by Owens.
