The Eagles survive New River CC 11-6 thanks to Keegan Woolford's late-game heroics.

Keegan Woolford brought home the go-ahead run to give the Eagles the lead in the sixth inning, as the Eagles hung on to beat New River CC 11-6 on Sunday.
 
Angel Santiago racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Eagles. He doubled in the first inning and homered in the sixth inning.
 
Derek Jackson recorded the win for the Eagles. He tossed 2 1/3 innings of shutout ball. Jackson struck out two, walked none and gave up two hits.
Mike Chavez ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed nine runs in six innings, walked five and struck out five.

The Eagles jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. A double by Santiago, scoring Woolford started the inning off.

Two the Eagles baserunners came all the way around to score in each of the second, third and ninth. In the second, the Eagles scored on a passed ball, plating Austin Warren.

New River CC quickly matched the Eagles' strong inning with a five-run inning of its own in the fourth. New River CC scored on a sacrifice fly by Cory Wright, a two-run single by Chavez, an RBI double by Skylar True, and a passed ball.
