Wake Tech hits walk-off single to beat Lenoir Community College, 3-2
Matt Mauldin's walk-off single off of Henderson boosted the Eagles to a 3-2 win over Lenoir Community College in 10 innings at North Main Athletic Complex on Sunday.
 
Garrett Wise did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Eagles, reaching base four times. He singled in the first, seventh, and ninth innings.
 
Trey Davis recorded the win for Wake Tech. He pitched five shutout innings. Davis struck out two, walked two and gave up one hit.

Henderson took the loss for Lenoir. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.

Lenoir jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the third. After Johnson tripled, the Lancers kept the pressure on the Eagles pitching, as Shaffer singled, plating Johnson.

After a quick strike from Lancer batters, the Eagles responded with one run in the fourth. The Eagles scored on an RBI double by Evan Maley.

Wake Tech tied the game in the seventh on an RBI single by Wise that scored Caleb Coyle.
