The Eagles muster 3 hits, drop 10-4 to Brunswick Community College
Wake Tech dropped a 10-4 decision to Brunswick CC on Saturday.
Jacob Sipe racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Eagles. He homered in the fifth inning.
Ray Roby handled Brunswick's lineup with ease, racking up four strikeouts. Roby allowed one earned run on four hits and one walk over 3 2/3 innings.
Blackburn got the win for the Dolphins. He allowed three runs over six innings. He struck out six, walked two and surrendered two hits.
Brunswick Community College was sparked by Smith and Clenney, who teamed up for nine hits and five RBIs.
Justin Huggins was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed nine runs in 4 1/3 innings, walked three and struck out two.

The Dolphins never trailed after scoring four runs in the third on two singles.
After pushing across two runs in the top of the fifth, the Eagles faced just a 5-3 deficit. A two-run home run by Sipe gave the Eagles life. Blackburn ended the inning by getting Matt Mauldin to strike out.
Brunswick answered the Eagles' top inning with four runs of its own in the fifth. Brunswick scored on an RBI single by Clinch, an RBI single by Kuester, and a two-run error.

One the Eagles run crossed the plate in the top half of the ninth, making the score 10-4. A sacrifice fly by Travis Owens triggered the Eagles' comeback. Finally, Timmerman got Austin Warren to ground out to end the game.
