Sixth-inning lead change vaults Catawba Valley past the Eagles, 9-4

Keegan Woolford led the Eagles' offensive threat, as he got on base two times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the first inning.
 
Hall recorded the win for Catawba Valley. He allowed three runs over seven innings. He struck out two, walked three and surrendered five hits.
Catawba's Ortiz, Locklear and Mauldin combined for six hits and four RBIs.

Austin Deal was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked three and struck out six.

The bottom of the first saw the Eagles take an early lead, 1-0. A solo home run by Woolford started the inning off.

The Red Hawks never relinquish the lead after scoring four runs in the sixth inning when it scored on a groundout by Ty Andrus and three singles.

Catawba Valley Community College tacked on another three runs in the ninth. A clutch hit into a fielder's choice scored Zalewa to open the scoring in the frame.
