Wake Tech Names Eric Sibrizzi Head Coach

Wake Tech Athletic Director, Barry Street, announced Eric Sibrizzi as the new head baseball coach today.  Coach Sibrizzi replaces Chris Kiec who stepped down earlier this month after leading the Eagles for seven seasons. Eric has seen his share of success as a pitching coach and recruiting coordinator for Wake Tech baseball, but now he'll be able to build his own legacy as the second head coach in program history.

"It was such a privilege working with Coach Kiec the last few years," Sibrizzi said, "I was very excited about the opportunity to continue the success of the program he built."

Coach Sibrizzi brings consistency and experience to the program. In 2016, Sibrizzi oversaw two pitchers who finished in the top 5 in ERA in Region X.  In 2015, he guided the pitching staff to a top 5 finish in the nation in both ERA and Batting Average against.  In his 2 seasons at Wake Tech he has coached 8 All Region X performers and 2 players that have made the Region X All Defensive Team.

"Overall, we expect excellence – on and off the field," said Sibrizzi, "We have spent the last few years building a fantastic training program and balancing athletics with competitive GPA standards.  As we continue embracing those, we will also focus playing a larger part in the community."
