Murray inks with Campbell University

Wake Tech baseball standout Jake Murray has signed a national letter of intent with Campbell University in Buies Creek, NC.

The 5-11 left handed pitcher appeared in nine games for the Eagles in 2019.  He recorded 25.1 innings pitched with a 1-3 record in one start as a freshman.  He was in third on the team in strikeouts with 27.

Murray joined the Wake Tech program East Wake High School in Wendell, NC.

Campbell is a member of the Big South Conference.  The Camels recorded wins over ninth ranked East Carolina University, University of Maryland, and Duke University in the regular season. Campbell advanced the NCAA Greenville Regional knocking off No. 15 North Carolina State and Quinnipiac before being falling to No. 7 East Carolina in the regional championship finishing with a 37-21 overall record.
