Wilson, NC – Wayne Mize went 3-for-4 with 5 RBI and Andy Duran went 3-for-5 with two homeruns to lead Wake Tech to a 17-6 victory over Barton College's Junior Varsity program at Nixon Field in Wilson.

The Eagles and Bulldogs went scoreless through the opening three frames before Duran connected on a homerun over the centerfield fence to spark a six-run fourth inning. Duran once again led off the fifth inning with a homerun and once again the Eagles posted a six-run inning. Mize hit a three-run homer later in the inning. Johny McDonald hit a solo homerun for the Eagles' twelfth run of the day in the fifth.

Josh Nichols went 2-for-2 with a double for Wake Tech to round out the Eagles other multi hit performances. Wake Tech pounded out 15 hits in total.

On the mound, Luke Absher started for the Eagles pitching two complete innings and recorded two of the team's nine strikeouts. In all seven Eagle pitcher saw action with Josh Plisko earning his first win.
