RALEIGH, NC – Wake Tech Athletics is partnering with the Student Veterans of America (SVA) Club and Wake Tech Veterans Programs to celebrate student Veterans.

A.J. Pitts, a Marine Veteran and Wake Tech student, will throw out the first pitch on Sunday at 1pm when the Eagles play Patrick Henry Community College at the Durham Athletic Park.  Pitts is a founding member of SALUTE Veterans National Honors Society and President of the SVA Club. 

Pitts is also the head golf professional at Hedingham Golf Club in Raleigh. He graduated from Wake Tech with an Associates in Applied Sciences (AAS) degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship.  He will transfer to NC State in the Fall.  

Gift bags will be provided to the first ten student Veterans that attend the game.

Fans and attendees must wear a face covering when in the stadium and have a temperature screening.  Admission is free.
