RALEIGH, NC – Wake Tech's Wayne Mize and Tyler Sellers were each named to the All-West Region 10 Second Team in Division II baseball.  Mize was selected to the All-Region team as an outfielder and Sellers in the designated hitter category.

Heading into post-season, Mize hit .310 with 31 RBI with six homeruns. He was second on the team in batting average and paced the Eagles with 49 hits and 43 runs scored in 48 games. Mize also led Wake Tech with 16 doubles.  Mize is a former standout from East Rowan (Salisbury, NC) and was also selected to the All-Region Second Team as a freshman in 2021 as a designated hitter.

Meanwhile, Sellers was fourth on the team with a .303 average and had a team high 41 RBI.  He was third hits with 37 and recorded a team best seven homeruns.  Sellers appeared in 43 games as a catcher.  Sellers is a product of Mountain Island Charter (Charlotte, NC).

Wake Tech finished the season making the NJCAA Region 10 tournament as the No. 4 seed in the West.  The Eagles upset the No. 1 seed, Brunswick Community College, in the opening round of the tournament.
