Meet our first Wake Tech Esports Alum: Nicholas Cox (Toasty) from Waxhaw, NC! Nicholas will be attending North Carolina State University this Fall 2021 semester.

Nicholas played on the Wake Tech Rocket League Gold team in the inaugural esports season (Spring 2021) and made it to the playoffs with teammates Elijah Robinson (Erob94), Isac Kauffman (Lazarus), and Nicholas Kraemer (CheeseSandwich).

"I attended Wake Tech for two years and in my final semester the inaugural season of the Esports was launched. I was more than ecstatic to join and participate but what I didn't realize was how much I would take away from it. It was a great experience, from our amazing Coach Chase, to the facility that is truly awesome, and to my teammates who were just some really cool people with similar interests to me. This is absolutely an experience I will never forget, and Wake Tech has truly started something special. I'll forever be cheering on from the sidelines! Go Eagles!" - Nicholas Cox
