Wake Tech welcomes Patrick McNair as new Esports Director

RALEIGH, NC – Wake Technical Community College has announced Patrick McNair as the new Esports Director.

McNair has an extensive background in information technology as a small business owner and software consultant. He is currently a Senior Consulting Associate with Huron Consulting Group.  

In addition to his software implementation consulting background, he is the owner and operator of Mobile Access Games based in Knightdale, NC. Started in 2018, Mobile Access Games is a video game truck that features eight gaming stations and a virtual reality racing simulator. 

"I am blessed to have the opportunity to help lead this program and I look forward to supporting our student-athletes to attain their own personal and team goals," said McNair.  "Wake Tech is primed to help develop this next generation of esports competitors and I'm ready to get started." 

McNair has a Master of Science degree in Information Technology from North Carolina A&T State University.  He also served for eight years in the United States Marine Corps reaching the rank of Sergeant and served as an Assistant Maintenance Chief.
