RALEIGH, N.C. — Wake Tech Men's Basketball improved to 10-10 on the season and 2-2 in conference play after a 62-58 win over Denmark Tech. It's the team's second straight victory, and they have won five of their last six.
"I was proud of the way we stayed focused," head coach Adam Wainwright said after the win. "Denmark Tech is a very talented and well-coached team, and they played very hard defensively today. Our guys were patient and limited the turnovers against their zone."
AJ Shaw lead the team in scoring with 15 points, including a three-pointer with 1:04 remaining in the second half to stretch the Eagles' lead to five. Kayjay Harper (12), Mervin Hope (12), and Joshua Stevenson (10) also scored in double digits.
The Eagles are back at home on Wednesday, January 29 against Cape Fear. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00pm. There are 10 remaining games on the regular season schedule, all of which are in conference play.
