RALEIGH, N.C. — The National Junior College Athletic Association announced it's Division II Men's Soccer All-America teams on Tuesday, and Wake Tech forward Kayden Richter was named to the third-team. Richter is the program's first All-American honoree.
"I'm very proud of Kayden and his teammates for making this great honor possible," head coach Brandon Kind said. "It is well-deserved recognition for an outstanding player."
Richter tallied 14 goals and eight assists over 12 starts, leading NJCAA Region 10 in both categories. He ranked 11th in NJCAA Div. II in goals per game (1.17). He recorded two hat tricks this season, the first coming at home against Virginia Peninsula on September 7 and the second coming one month later at Virginia Peninsula on October 7.
The Colorado Springs native finishes his Wake Tech career with 26 goals and 11 assists, and is the program's all-time leading goalscorer.
