RALEIGH, N.C. — Wake Tech sophomore pitcher Leah Correll eclipsed 300 career strikeouts on Saturday during the Eagles' series at Southwest Virginia, and currently sits at 316 punch outs. Correll is the program's all-time leader in strikeouts. After reaching 200 earlier this season, it took the right-hander little time to hit her next milestone.

This season, Correll ranks second in Region 10 Division II in strikeouts (140) and strikeouts per seven innings (9.48). She ranks 11th among all NJCAA Division II pitchers in strikeouts. Correll has made 57 appearances in the circle for Wake Tech, with 40 coming as the starter. She has nine appearances with 10 or more strikeouts in her career.
The Eagles have six remaining regular season games, all at home. Their final conference series of the season begins this Friday with a doubleheader starting at 1:00 pm against Cleveland. The series will conclude with another doubleheader on Saturday afternoon. The final regular season doubleheader will be played on Wednesday, April 23 against Richard Bland.
