RALEIGH, NC - Wake Technical Community College Women's Basketball defeated Patrick & Henry Community College 70-53 in the 2021-22 home opener for the Eagles.  Monday's game marked for the first home basketball game for Wake Tech in 20 months following the COVID pandemic.

Charbreanna Vann scored 22 points off the bench and Taylor Buchanan added 20 points to pace Wake Tech offensively. Vann had eight rebounds, seven assists, and five steals. Buchanan added five rebounds and three assists.

Jen'lea Nichols grabbed 11 rebounds for Wake Tech (3-0; 3-0).

Nathalia Nascimento scored a game high 29 points for P&HCC. Kadajah Walker scored 10 points as the Patriots other double figure scorer.

Wake Tech returns to action on Wednesday when they travel to Cape Fear Community College. Tip-off is scheduled for 6pm.
