Anna Vann earns First Team All-America Honors

RALEIGH, NC – Wake Tech's Anna Vann was named a First Team Division II All-American on Tuesday by the National Junior College Athletic Association.

During her sophomore season at Wake Tech, Vann was eighth in the nation in points per game (21.6), fourth in the nation in total points (626), and fifth in assists per game (6.2).

Vann helped guide Wake Tech to two NJCAA Division II tournament qualifications (2020 & 2022).  In addition, she is Wake Tech's first ever First-Team All-American selection and the first student-athlete at Wake Tech to record 1,000-plus career points.

Other accolades include being selected the 2022 NJCAA Region 10 DII Women's Basketball Player of the Year.

NJCAA All-American selections are comprised of three teams of 10 student-athletes each. All-America selections are made by the NJCAA Division II Women's Basketball Committee.

On Thursday, April 7, Vann will announce her decision on where she'll continue her education and athletic career.
