Alison Beasley was named Wake Tech's third head women's basketball coach in 2018. She took over the Eagle program from her mentor, former Wake Tech athletic director and head women's basketball coach, Barry Street.

Beasley played at Wake Tech for two seasons (2010-11; 2012-13) and served as an assistant coach for four seasons starting in 2014 before she was named the program's head coach.

The 2021-22 season was Wake Tech's best ever.  The Eagles recorded a 17-1 conference record and won the NJCAA Region 10 Division II regular season title. In addition, Wake Tech did make the program's first appearance in the NJCAA National Tournament in 2022.

In just her second season, Beasley guided the program to its first ever NJCAA Region 10 Division II Championship. In addition, she was named to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Thirty Under 30.

During her first season as head coach, the Eagles were 16-14. During 2019-20 season, she led the program to its second 20+ win season with a record of 21-7. Unfortunately, the NJCAA National Championship tournaments were cancelled due to the global Covid-19 pandemic.

She is from Durham, NC where she played basketball at Southern Durham High School.  She has coached 9/10 year old boys in AAU and worked with several recreation leagues in Durham.
