Freshman defender Molly Thomas was named 1st Team All-Region Center Back for Region X in the NJCAA. Thomas, played and started in all 13 matches for the Lady Eagles. She amassed 8 goals and 2 assists, leading the Eagles in goals for the year along with 1 shutout and a save percentage of .900 with 18 saves for 2 games as a keeper. And all this from a center back. "I realized early on I needed Molly to be extremely versatile after her first goal from 40+ yards out. We would have midfielders drop to defense as Molly and Christi, our two center backs, would dribble on whole teams and create passing opportunities for others. Towards the end of the season I was able to transition another center back and push Molly up top to help with goal scoring. She even volunteered to play keeper 2 games when the team needed her. It's just the type of person she is; hardworking, dedicated, and selfless. In doing so, she was able to shine. She will be greatly missed next season," Coach Statum replied.
