Three Eagles earn Second Team All-Region distinction

Alondra Sujey Barajas-Salazar, Josannah (Josi) Higgins, and Emily Parker each earned Second Team All-Region honors for Wake Tech following the conclusion of the 2022 season.

RALEIGH, NC –  Alondra Sujey Barajas-Salazar, Josannah (Josi) Higgins, and Emily Parker each earned Second Team All-Region honors for Wake Tech following the conclusion of the 2022 season.

Barajas recorded four assists for Wake Tech as a Defensive/Middle and started in all 11 of the Eagles' games in 2022.  The sophomore from Raleigh, NC (Knightdale) had six shots on goal with five shots.

Higgins had three goals and one assist as a Defensive/Center Middle and started in all 11 games for Wake Tech.  The sophomore from Benson, NC, also had nine shots on goal and six shots.

Parker, a freshman from Bunnlevel, NC (Harnett Central), played in all 11 games for Wake Tech and started in 10.  She recorded a team high 11 goals with three assists.  She also had 26 shots and 19 shots on goal.

In addition, Iris Granados (Siler City, NC/Jordan Matthews) earned All-Region honorable mention recognition.  Granados appeared in all 11 games for Wake Tech and started in nine.  She was second on the team in goals scored with seven and had four assists.  She had a team high 26 shots on goal with 25 shots.

The All-Region teams are selected by the Region 10 DII women's soccer coaches.
