RALEIGH, N.C. – Enrique Rodriguez has stepped down as the head coach of the Wake Tech women's soccer program, he has announced.
"After several incredible seasons leading the Wake Tech Women's Soccer program, I've made the difficult decision to step down as head coach," Rodriguez said. "It's been an honor to work alongside such talented student-athletes and staff who've made this journey unforgettable. I'm proud of what we've built together and look forward to supporting the program in its next chapter."
"Our women's soccer program has made tremendous strides under Enrique's leadership," Athletic Director Robin Pate said. "He held his student athletes to a high standard on and off the field and raised the standard for the program."
During Rodriguez's tenure, the team went 23-16-2 and reached the NJCAA Region 10 Division II championship game in 2021 and 2023. The team achieved a winning record in conference play in each of his four seasons in charge. 20 student athletes received All-Region honors while Rodriguez was the coach.
