Two matches in one day is nothing new for volleyball players, but the magnitude of back to back matches against Surry and Rockingham was immense. The Eagles snapped the perfect home record for the Knights this season in a four set battle.
The Eagles prevailed 25-21, 25-23, 19-25, 25-23. The contest was a nail-biter throughout with each team playing point for point. Coming out on the winning side of a match like this can do wonders for a team. The Eagles had to show their toughness by returning to the court to play Rockingham Community College immediately following their tight match with Surry. Wake Tech overcame any emotion from the first match to dispatch of RCC, 3-0.
