RALEIGH, NC – Richard Bland College entered Monday's match-up with Wake Tech with an unblemished 5-0 record in Region 10 DII volleyball action. They walked out of the North Campus gym with their first loss after Wake Tech swept the Statesman 3-0.

The Eagles won each set 25-23, 25-23, and 25-22 to improve to 9-4 overall and 5-3 in Region 10 divisional play.

For the Eagles, Ahunna Akpuda had 12 kills and one block assist.  Meagan Smith tallied nine kills with one block assists. Ja'keya Paylor collected 19 assists and Austin Proctor added 12. Arianna King had 2 blocks.  Kara Ayscue and Maya Uzoho paced Wake Tech with 11 digs.

The Eagles travel to Richard Bland on Wednesday for a rematch with the Statesman on Wednesday at 6pm.
