Brian Harris

Brian Harris

Brian Harris was named the third head volleyball coach at Wake Tech in April 2019. In his first season with the Eagles, he guided Wake Tech to an impressive 20-5 record and a semifinal appearance in the NJCAA Region 10 tournament.

Harris is no stranger to volleyball in the Triangle area.  He comes to Wake Tech after serving as head volleyball coach at Rolesville High School (2015-2018).  Harris also is a head coach in the Triangle Volleyball Club since 2013. He has been coaching volleyball at multiple levels since 2005.

He graduated from The Citadel in 1990, where he was a member of the varsity tennis team, and started and competed with the club men’s volleyball team at the Citadel.

"I am so grateful for this opportunity," Harris said, "Volleyball is the ultimate team sport. One player can't do it by themselves. Therefore, players have to be selfless, invest in, and love each other."

Harris and his wife, Stephanie, have two daughters, and both played high school and club volleyball.

Higher education is crucial for Harris, "As a teacher and coach, I am invested in their overall success as a student, an athlete, and as a person.  It is important to me that I support them and help them reach their individual goals."
