Liz Reif was promoted to head coach of the Eagles' court volleyball team following January 2023. Reif will assume head coaching duties of both court and beach volleyball programs at Wake Tech.
"I'm really excited to be extending my years here at Wake Tech as the head coach," said Reif. "After spending four years as an assistant coach I'm ready to be a part of this program's continued growth."
Reif played volleyball for the Eagles in the 2011 season and completed her Associates in Arts degree shortly after. Reif returned to Wake Tech to receive additional certificates in Business, Marketing and Leadership and she played her final season for the Eagles in 2014.
Reif starting coaching at the club level in 2011 and spent eight years coaching the Jammers Volleyball Club based in Durham, NC. In addition, she was a middle and high school coach for four years.
"Coach Reif's coaching, recruiting and interactions with our student-athletes over the past two years has been wonderful," said Pate. "She is a fantastic fit and this is a natural progression for her career. This hire will ensure Wake Tech continues moving forward with our volleyball program and overall athletic department goals."
She was named head coach of the Wake Tech Beach Volleyball Team in April 2022. She is the fifth head coach for the Wake Tech court program.
Reif lives in Wake Forest, NC with her husband and son.
