The 2017 season is nearly a month old, but the Eagles have yet to set foot on home turf.  That changes today when the Pioneers are the first opponent for Wake Tech at our new pitch, Ting Park in Holly Springs.

With a new coach and only a handful of returning players, Wake Tech has gone through an extreme makeover.  The results have been impressive as Wake Tech brings a 2-2 record into the contest, but they could easily be 4-0 if not for a little bad luck.  Currently the Eagles are fifth in conference play, but can move ahead of Spartanburg Methodist with a win today.

The Pioneers are in the midst of a three game winning streak with an overall mark of 5-3.

The teams have shared three common opponents: Richard Bland, USC Lancaster, and USC Salkehatchie.  Wake Tech fell to Richard Bland 3-1 and USC Salkehatchie 2-1, but defeated USC Lancaster 5-0.  As for the Pioneers, they fell to Richard Bland 5-0, but claimed victory over USC Salkehatchie 3-0 and USC Lancaster 2-0.
